The first oral food every human on earth was fed as a child is milk. Most of us by our mothers and the few who couldn’t, for whatever reason, a substitute. It is the first experience of consuming food in the new world that we have had.
As all good things end sometime, solid food took over and our diet changed. Pretty soon our mothers stopped lactating.
What nature intended it to mean is that the duration any mammal is supposed to drink milk, and that too from its own mother, is limited. There is no mammal on earth other than humans who consume milk their whole lives, with the frequency that we do.
Why is that?– the nutritious protein and calcium you say.
Well, it has also been scientifically proven that certain insects contain more protein and calcium than milk, I do not see that becoming as popular as milk in the coming decades.
But we still do consume milk and a great deal of it. Not only in its natural form but a smorgasbord of milk-derived products. It is promoted and advertised. Put forth as the elixir of health and strength for all ages. This has put a heavy demand on the supply of this “essential” commodity.
Tell me This: How do we get such an inexhaustible supply of milk when we know that mothers only produce milk when pregnant and with infant, after which milk production ceases.
We as humans have played God and the once natural process of evolution is now unidentifiable as being anything close to a natural process.
Cows are mammals, just like us humans, and just like us humans, their gestation period is also nine months long. What this means is that from the time a cow comes of age (1-2 years old according to dairy standards), the unassuming child is forcibly impregnated with Bull Semen.
The insemination would ensure she is pregnant and lactating for the entire gestation period.
Not the same species, mind you, but most dairy cows are impregnated with bull semen from a breed that is used for beef farming. This breed is bigger and bulkier than dairy cows. As a result of this cross insemination, the calves born are larger than normal. Understandably, this results in an excruciating birthing for the mother. This isn’t normal, this is pure greed for profit.
Calves being forcibly yanked out, the soul-wrenching scream of the mother in pain-ignored. Many calves die before they are born. For the mother, it can result in permanent nerve damage resulting in the loss of control of her back legs, which do the splits like lifeless limbs. The inhumane answer is metal shackles fitted to a long tortured animal to further milk the profits. All puns intended.
After the birth of her calf, the milk produced by her cannot be wasted on a lower life form like her calf, so within hours of birth and sometimes immediately the calf is torn from its mother.
The period of nurturing, a year-long process, is over for her. The brief period she nurses her calf is shrewdly allowed to extract her colostrum. This pre-milk secretion provides immunity for the ones who will live and who will eventually die and more importantly, so it does not taint the milk.
Take a look at this picture. Yes! it is another species. Yes! we cannot understand their words, it’s only a sound to us. Yes! they are but animals.
But, Can we understand the look in their eyes?— NO! we can feel it.
Since these newborn calves lack the natural nutrition from their mother’s milk they are weak, unable to stand up or walk.
In this condition, they are transported directly to slaughterhouses. They are not treated as a living soul but like waste products that can be disposed of for even more profit.
This is where baby male calves are selected for the “Veal” Industry. These “fortunate” ones are confined inside dark small stalls where they are not allowed to move. They are fed a watery drug-laced diet to keep their meat pale and tender.
Seems like the poultry industry, doesn’t it?
These calves become severely anemic and have chronic diarrhea their entire short lives and live in quiet misery and torment in darkness. Most do not even see sunlight and feel the warmth on their bodies but live in feces.
A newborn child alone in the dark wondering why its mother is no more.
The dairy cow endures, any mother would understand this, prolonged grief for days. Life for her is an unending recurrence of forced pregnancy and birth, topped off with nonstop lactating to produce milk for our…
Ice-Cream, Anyone?
Her body is quickly depleted, exhausted, and squeezed of all energy after 4-5 years of constant reproduction and lactation with no break as would occur in nature. At this time she is often crippled and unable to walk, not to a lush pasture as a reward for her sacrifice, but to her final destination:
A Slaughterhouse.

BBC: Disclosure
Yup! Male calves born from a dairy bull’s semen, unlike the beef-bred bull’s semen, never put on sufficient weight to be economical for the meat market.
They are shot – up to 150,000 of them every year.
Many others are sent to veal production units as mentioned above.
Female calves from dairy bull semen are kept to replenish the herd but are still taken from their mothers.
All calves born to beef bull semen are kept for the meat trade.

Till humans wake up and see the slaughter and the horror,
We can but do our best
